It’s an interesting time for the construction industry. Growth has been strong the past several years, with global construction spending now at an all-time high. Despite having weathered the storm of the Great Pandemic, the construction industry is still facing challenges, both old and new, moving forward. However it’s a evergreen industry with so many stories with the emergence of technology in the construction Industry.
ConVoyage is too at the par with the industry challenging the core industry problems and trying the simplify through enabling collaborations and communications. “The world’s simplest solution comes from the ugliest mess” – this is what we believe as a team. And now in this conversation, we want to highlight few of the core problems that motivated us to start ConVoyage – The Journey of Constructions.

Being a pioneer in the construction industry started “ConVoyage” with a vision to simplify the construction space with proper communication & collaboration. The idea started with providing an in-house tech solution to our existing construction business, but today the idea has grasped the attention of many more business owners across the nation in the construction ecosystem.
I used to spend majority of my time at the project site in evaluating the progress done by my ground staffs & Site Supervisors. Having multiple projects running at different cities, hundreds of workers working round the clock into different segments of the Industrial Engineering , two major problems were faced – “Communication” & “Collaboration”. Communication among the site team & management and having effective collaboration with the material suppliers, sub-contractors, finance players & other allied external business partners was a big challenge.
This is not a problem only for me, but also for most of the business players in the constructions ecosystem. I evaluated with 100’s of middle & small scale construction players across my state. Almost 70% of the business challenges is because of inefficiencies in project management tools & inadequate collaborations with the cross functional players. And there’s where “ConVoyage” came into existence.
ConVoyage – It’s a journey of entire constructions ecosystem. We are trying to simplify the construction industry through our tech enabled platform for “effective communication” , “adequate collaboration” & “Amplifying project performance”. Apart from these, few other challenges that inspires us to work on our idea and make the industry a human friendly ecosystem are Labour shortages, stagnant productivity levels, safety to the manpower, adoption of technology, availability of resources are to name a few.
